Privacy Policy
A short, honest summary of what data this site does and doesn't collect.
What we collect
This is a static reference site. We don't ask you to register, log in, or submit forms. We don't show ads. We don't run third-party trackers. We don't set marketing cookies.
What our hosting provider sees
Like any website, when your browser requests a page from us, our hosting provider records standard server access logs: the IP address that made the request, the page requested, the timestamp, the referring URL (if any), and the User-Agent string of the browser. These logs are used to operate the site (e.g. block abuse, debug delivery problems) and are retained for a short period (typically 30 days) before automatic deletion.
We don't combine these logs with any other data, don't sell them, and don't share them except where required by law.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies. If we add a service in future that requires cookies (for example, an embedded video player or comment system), we will update this notice and disclose the cookie at the point of use.
Analytics
If we add analytics in future to understand which articles readers find most useful, we will use a privacy-respecting analytics service (no third-party tracking, no IP fingerprinting, no cross-site profiles) and disclose it here. As of the last-updated date above, we do not run analytics.
Third-party content
Our pages link to external sources for citations (such as government bodies, peer-reviewed journals, news organizations). When you click through to those sites, their own privacy policies apply. We have no insight into or control over what they collect.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences including children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the "last updated" date above will change and the substantive changes will be summarized at the top.
