Kentia Palm
Howea Fosteriana is a native of Australia, and it is known to be a very adaptable plant. It is an upright-growing palm tree, and ideal for indoor use. They look their best if you have 4-5 of them in a container. They require very little care and have a long life span.
Pygmy Date Palm
The pygmy date palm is very easy to care for. The scientific name of this palm is Phoenix Roebelenii, and it is a native of south-east Asia. It has a moderate growth rate of 6 inches to 1 foot per year. To care for this palm, water it 2-3 times a week and use pest control medication, if you have planted it in a shaded area. Take care of the pruning needs of the palm, but be careful while doing so as it has thorny folds.
Lady Palm
These palms are the most adaptable of the palm types, as they grow in moist environment and varied soil conditions. It is one of the best options among the different types of palm trees as its growth rate is slow. Its scientific name is Rhapis Excelsa, and does not need much looking after, making it a great indoor plant. This plant is very versatile and can handle temperatures ranging from 20°F to 100°F.
Bamboo Palm
It is a multi-trunk plant which is ideally suited for wide spaces in your house or office. It can grow to about 8-10 feet tall and 5-7 feet wide, making it an ideal plant to use as a partition or screen in your interior designing plans. It is ideally suited for indoor use, as it thrives in shade. Its scientific name is Chamaedorea seifrizii. The bamboo palm needs a little looking after, as it might get infested with pests like spider mites, because of its dense leaves. It is one of the most sought after palm tree because of its dense green appearance.
Most indoor palm trees are easy to care for and beautiful to look at, they also help oxygenate the area giving it a fresh feel. Take care of your palms by watering them regularly and doing some trimming from time to time.
